How to Hire a Hypnotist for Your Football Club
Having a comedy hypnotist at your club function or awards night is a popular choice.
But if you’ve never booked an act like that before, you might be wondering how to go about it.
It is not very hard to do.
Make Contact
Make Contact and Request a Price and Availability. The main thing is to contact the act you are interested in and check that they re available and what they would charge.
For that to work you need to tell them:
- A) Where you are - city / town so that they can figure out the travel costs. And for some remote places, travel time limits their options for when they can do their show.
- B) When you want your event. Even if you don’t have a specific date - most entertainers are heavily booked for Saturdays and Fridays - so knowing that you want midweek can help - or if it must be a Saturday then tell them that. Football and Netball clubs usually book out all my Saturdays in winter. Often before the end of February.
- C) Tell the entertainer roughly how many people you expect to attend. It makes a difference if I have to plan for 100 people versus 500 people. For example when working out how much equipment is needed for sound etc. Very large shows need crew assistants too sometimes.
Check Their Credentials
Check Out Their Credentials When you have a price and know that they are available, you can check out their past performances by googling for reviews and comments. Do they guarantee their act? Are they easy to deal with?
Confirm The Date
Confirm the date and lock it in. For some entertainers you’ll need to pay a deposit (I usually don’t charge a deposit myself, I just ask you to sign the booking sheet).
And that’s it - you’re more or less good to go. Of course if you plan to sell tickets to your event you’ll need to start promoting it within your club. But that is a topic for another blog post.
