There is a long history of meditation in most cultures. And along with that, humans have come to assert that meditation has many health benefits such as reduced stress, and improved focus.

Now with the aid of modern medical imaging techniques we can see that there are genuine changes in the brain during and after meditation which support those claims of improved health outcomes. The power of meditation is available to first time practitioners, who will attain results after only about 20 minutes.

There are lots of different styles of meditation, some are just that - ways to meditate, and some come with a package (or burden) of belief systems which may or may not appeal. So have a look around - there'll be a way that works for you.
