Eating What Your Body 'Feels' It Needs
Some people think that there is a cosmic force that guides them, or that nature will, if respected, lead them to automagically make eating decisions that will give them perfect health, physical form and well being.
They shun counting calories as being too mechanistic. I blogged about that topic with the awesome guess your weight game. There's a blog I follow by a guy called Tom Venuto. Although he has a slant towards body building his information is quite factual and applies almost entirely to anyone who wants to improve their physical condition by losing body fat.
Shortly after I posted my blog he wrote on the same topic more or less (but better). Here's a quote:
“Well, you could choose not to count calories and eat what you “feel” your body is asking for and stop eating when you feel full, but if you do, that's called guessing. If you guess correctly and eat the right amount, you lose weight. That's called luck. I’d rather bet on a sure thing than roll the nutritional dice and hope for the best.”
Here's his website www.burnthefat.com, and I would encourage you to follow his blog or subscribe to his free newsletter as I do.
