Are you comfortable?
A comfortable bed. A little on the firm side.
A dark room. With no stray lights to catch your eye.
Get rid of those gadgets with telltale LEDs or tape them over. They are evil, distracting and keep you from sleeping well.
Remove things that whir or clank such as a PC fan.
That loudly ticking clock must go.
Consider earplugs if you cannot eliminate distraction noises.
A good pillow. You’ll know if your current pillow is comfortable or not.
Sufficient blankets, but not too many.
Window open or closed to suit you. Cooler rooms are generally better.
